PREPPING FOR THE SURPRISE
On the morning of 20th, the 4 of us (Me, Milly, Joachim, Yifei) made our way down to Thiam's function room to make preparations for Thiam's birthday surprise (:Started off with blowing 50-70 balloons and stupid Joachim was of no use because he can't blow balloons for nuts.
Hahahaha so anyway, I suggested for a net to hold balloons to be put up near the door as part of the surprise. Well, it was initially strongly disapproved by the guys but well, they gave in soon after I started complaining HAHAHA.

Armed with only colored paper, scissors and tape, I think it was quite a feat to make a pretty photobooth frame (whatever you call it)!!!!! Pretty hor? Milly 真厉害!! ^^
SHOUTOUT TO JIAMIN AND MUMMY THIAM: Thanks for helping us so much and being part of the surprise!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU. ^^
On to the second part of the surprise. Well, it failed horribly because we reached the function room way too early and everyone else was still lighting the candles on the cake desperately LOLOLOL
The entire scene sent Thiam and I into some hysterical laughter because only separated by a glass panel, we could literally see the flames on the cake going off whenever they light another one. In the end, we decided to just go with one candle HAHAHA
I made Thiam walk in slowly so that the balloons in the net will fall, creating the "angelic" moment which failed too. Thiam was going WTS when the balloons fell, walaozxc.

As part of the surprise, Jia Min made a (fake) call for pizza delivery in order to trick Thiam into opening the door when the deliveryman (ME HAHAHA) came with McDonald's LOL. Dragged her down to the function room, which errrr along the way, I spilled the beans of the presence of others by saying "we" WHOOOPS. IMPROMPTU STUDY SESSION
We headed to Thiam's house after clearing up the place (which includes bursting the crazy lot of balloons and removing our pretty Photoframe D:) because the room was booked until 3pm.It turned into a chit-chat and gossiping session eventually. Well, doesn't it always end up that way? HAHA and presenting to you... Chiobu Joachim ^^
